We purchased a very old and unique violin (a Richard Rubus made in Germany) at an estate sale and took it to Andrew for an assessment and repair. It's a gift for our Grandson who plays the violin and loves old things. Andrew was very knowledgable, giving us a great deal of insight into the history of the violin and advising us on our options to restore it to playable condition with an eye toward common sense repairs for now, but also advising us on what our grandson can do in the future if he wants to completely restore it. I really appreciated his friendly and patient manner and knowledge of his craft. This violin will only be going to Andrew for any future work.

Andrew has built a great string instrument repair and sales business by selling and renting high quality instruments and providing superior repairs for those of us that need them at fair prices.

Setting the appointment online was a snap! the sales person was very helpful and fit my son for his first cello with kindness and patience. the rental agreement is fair and easy to understand. I've never had to rent an instrument before, so Andrew's made the whole process easy as pie. Would definitely recommend.

I have visited Andrew's Fine Violins several times. Whether the instrument was purchased/rented from them or not, I have always received excellent service. They are very knowledgeable and do not rush you. I strongly recommend them. All string instrument teachers I have spoken with have recommended them as the first choice as well.
