Andrew's Fine Violins

They gave me 4 to 5 violins In different price ranges to look at.
And gave me the time to decide on the one that I liked.
They were very helpful on helping me with Chin rest. And shoulder rest and help set it set up. To use their violin. And I will be back to buy violin from them

This was our 6th time returning to AFV and we have been very happy every time. They schedule appts online, are efficient and very knowledgable. They have great selection of violins to try in a wide price range. Highly recommend!

We are renting a cello from Andrew’s, the hairs on the cello bow were getting thin so we went in and they switched out bows. Service is always quick and friendly.

I went in to have some violins I purchased assessed for problems. I had bought them used and I knew they needed work. Charles was helping someone else, so the front desk associate checked my violins.
At first I was amazed at how his fingers moved over the instruments, and how fast he checked them, but unbeknownst to me, when he had assessed each one, he had missed a few issues.
It was’t until I was quoted a price and he was writing me up a receipt that he looked at the violin again and “found” more work that needed to be done. The quote went from $40 to $240 at his second glance.
I ended up not having Andrew’s fix any of the repairs and I was frustrated that the initial assessment hadn’t been done thoroughly the first time.

Charles was extremely helpful today. This new chin rest and the adjustment with the shoulder pad will surely make a difference in my playing experience. Thank You Charles!!!

Andrew was extremely helpful and thorough in his evaluation of work and repairs needed on my 1941 Kay upright bass to hopefully keep it going for another 40 years or more!
